SHACKS HOLDEN and SHACKS HSV proudly support Motorsport in Western Australia. Our heritage is performance cars and our clients have a keen interest in cars, performance and the sport of motor racing. Holden and HSV cars are built to the same strong race bred heritage.

SHACKS Fremantle have also been and continue to be strong supporters of the Fremantle Community. We support a number of local interest groups including sport and support activity.

Whilst SHACKS Fremantle sell and support race bred motor vehicles we are very conscious of how dangerous cars, especially powerful cars can be in the wrong hands or when used in the wrong area. As such we support the activity of MOTORPLEX. MOTORPLEX has been set up by the Western Australian Government to focus testosterone charged fans to use the facility for their own power charged motoring activity and to view some of the best drivers in the world performing seemingly impossible tasks with cars and motor cycles.

Yachting has been a passion of the family members and owners of SHACKS Fremantle for over 5 decades. In the current era Shacks Group MD Doug Kerr and Shacks Fremantle Dealer Principal Tony Carter are both keen and competitive sailors. Doug sails in the ETCHELLS Class locally, interstate and internationally whilst Tony Carter has been a keen offshore competitor and currently holds the State title for sailing BW8 class yachts in the Swan River.

SHACKS Fremantle sponsors MIRSKY RACING TEAM. Torvar Mirsky has the potential to become Australia’s next America’s Cup Skipper. He and MRT are touring Europe in 2009 in search of yachting glory. They are showing tremendous potential and picking up some surprising wins. WATCH THIS TEAM – they can be future champions.

Tony Carter served as Commodore at Royal Perth Yacht Club between 2006 and 2007. He still retains a strong connection with the Club and supports the Club through active sponsorship of sailing activity.
